Afghanistan has made huge progress in health. The life expectancy at birth has reached to 62 year, it was around 55 year in 2000. Cardiovascular (Ischemic heart disease) diseases are the number one cause of deaths in Afghanistan. Also, these diseases are the fourth cause of premature deaths and Ischemic heart diseases are fourth cause of most death and disability in combined. Moreover, high blood pressure is the fifth risk factor drive the most death and disability in combined in Afghanistan.
